Orange County has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, and Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach is no exception. As one of the best secluded beaches in Orange County, Victoria Beach is a hidden gem that’s recently gone viral thanks to its iconic Pirate Tower, a 60-foot castle-inspired structure, and unique man-made circular pool created from natural rock and filled by the ocean tides. When you visit at sunset, you can capture some of the most stunning views in the entire county. Read on for our guide to Victoria Beach with information on directions and parking, so you can make the most of your visit.
How to Get to Victoria Beach
Victoria Beach can be tricky to find since it lacks a dedicated parking lot or signage. In fact, to find it, you’ll have to enter through one of its few hidden access points. We recommend one of the two entries below if your goal is to make it to the pirate tower.
- Stairs at the corner of Victoria Drive and Sunset Terrace: You can often find parking along the street here, but it’s important to be mindful of residential driveways to ensure you don’t block them. Find the staircase between houses and the corner of these streets and follow it all the way down to the beach. The bottom of the stairs will lead you very close to where you can find the Pirate Tower and circular pool!
- Ramp at the corner of Dumond and Ward’s: Parking is available on the street, which is a bit of a steep incline. Once parked, head down the ramp directly to the beach.
How to Find the Pirate Tower at Victoria Beach
Once you reach the sand, take a right and head north up the beach. Depending on which entrance you took to Victoria Beach, you may have a bit of a walk, but if you used one of our two recommended access points, it shouldn’t be too far.
Once you reach the north end of the beach, continue on past the rocky ledge. At high tide, you might need to navigate the rocks, but at low tide, you can easily walk along the sandy shoreline. You’ll soon be greeted by the stunning Pirate Tower in the distance and the circular pool just before it!
