11 Exciting Foodie Events in Orange County This Summer

Easily one of the best things about living in Orange County is the incredible food scene. Each summer we see a line-up of awesome events that locals and tourist foodies alike can look forward to, and summer 2024 is no exception. From exciting night markets and fairs to VIP food and wine festivals, there’s something for every palate and budget!

1. Mission Viejo Saturday Night Market

  • Dates: Third Saturday of every month
  • Location: North Paseo, 25282 Marguerite Pkwy, Mission Viejo

Enjoy great food, drinks, and live entertainment every Saturday at the Mission Viejo Saturday Night Market! Their Night Market brings is also a farmers market brought to the next level, with live music, food trucks, local shopping, and more. Each June, they also throw their annual Beach Bash Summer Social, which features a beer garden, hula dancing, yard games, and other fun activities.

2. 626 Night Market

  • Dates: May 31 – June 2, June 7-9, September 6-8, 2024
  • Location: OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa

Inspired by the famous night markets of Asia, the 626 Night Market started first in the 626 area code region of the San Gabriel Valley but has since expanded to Orange County and beyond! The event features over 250 food, merchandise, and craft vendors. Enjoy unique eats like ramen burgers and boba drinks, along with games, live music, and entertainment. Get presale tickets for just $5 or a enjoy a weekend pass for $9.

3. Huntington Beach Foodie Fridays

  • Dates: June 7, July 5, & August 2, 2024
  • Location: 15744 Goldenwest Street, Huntington Beach

Brought to you by the same people who’ve brought you the Mission Viejo Saturday Night Market, Huntington Beach Foodie Fridays is a pet friendly event with free entry AND free parking that offers food stalls and food trucks for days. Grab your friends and enjoy made-from-scratch pizza, authentic dumplings, handmade tacos and tamales, and more! There is also a family section with games and activities for kids!

4. Little Saigon Night Market

  • Dates: Every weekend throughout the summer, June 14 – September 1, 2024
  • Location: Asian Garden Mall, 9200 Bolsa Avenue, Westminster

Experience delicious Vietnamese food and drinks in Little Saigon while enjoying live music and entertainment! The Little Saigon Night Market (or Asian Garden Night Market) offers a plethora of food vendors offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine such as pho, banh mi, spring rolls, pork skewers, and other street food.

5. OC Fair

  • Dates: July 19 – August 18, 2024
  • Location: OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa

The OC Fair is one of the most anticipated events each summer, offering thrilling rides, live music performances, and a wide array of guilty-pleasure fair foods. Gather your friends to sample classic fair favorites like deep-fried treats, corn dogs, and funnel cakes, or explore unique artisanal pizzas, gourmet burgers, and international cuisine.

6. Midsummer Foodie Fest

  • Dates: July 20, 2024
  • Location: 131-211 W. Center Street Promenade, Anaheim

The City of Anaheim’s biggest food festival, be sure to arrive hungry to the Midsummer Foodie Fest! From 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Center Street Promenade becomes laden with vendors serving you everything from hearty meals and refreshing drinks to delicious snacks and sweets.

7. Taste of Yorba Linda

  • Dates: July 26, 2024
  • Location: Yorba Linda Community Center, 4501 Casa Loma, Yorba Linda

Sample signature dishes from local restaurants, wineries, and breweries while enjoying live music and participating in a silent auction at the Taste of Yorba Linda! The cost of admission ($65 for general admission) includes unlimited food and beverage samples from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

8. Taste of Placentia

  • Dates: August 15, 2024
  • Location: Tri City Park, 2301 N. Kraemer Blvd, Placentia

Enjoy an evening of food tastings from local eateries, live entertainment, and a variety of vendors from local businesses at the 10th Annual Taste of Placentia! Pre-sale tickets start at $40, which includes unlimited food and drink tastings from over 100 vendors. Grab your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy your food next to the pond while listening to live music by DJ Slim Dee.

9. Orange International Street Fair

  • Dates: August 30 – September 1, 2024
  • Location: Old Towne Orange, Corner of E Chapman and Glassell, Orange

Join the annual Orange International Street Fair, featuring food and drink from around the world! The streets of Chapman and Glassell in the Orange Circle become labelled by country and feature 40+ food and alcohol booths run by local nonprofits (with all proceeds going back to them). The festival also includes booths featuring goods by local artists, live music, and a street dedicated to kids with crafts and games.

10. The Original Lobster Festival

  • Dates: September 6-8, 2023
  • Location: Fountain Valley Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst Street, Fountain Valley

Celebrate all things lobster at the Original Lobster Festival! This event used to be held in Long Beach but has since relocated to Fountain Valley. The festival also features live music, carnival rides, and games, offering a full day of fun and delicious food. Because lobster can sell out, it’s recommended to purchase a lobster meal package online when buying admission. Active duty military and kids 12 and under enjoy free admission.

11. Pacific Wine & Food Classic

  • Dates: September 21, 2024
  • Location: Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina, 1131 Back Bay Drive, Newport Beach

The Pacific Wine & Food Classic is a VIP event that showcases top chefs and premium wineries. Attendees can enjoy gourmet dishes paired with fine wines in a beautiful beachfront setting, along with live music and a luxurious atmosphere. The event also includes a Taco Garden, so you can experience some of the best local tacos. As a VIP event, this is the most expensive event on our list with entry starting at $199.
